HyPro to Close Berlin Facility, Laying Off 24 Workers Starting August
HyPro, Inc. has announced the permanent closure of its manufacturing facility at 546 S. Industrial Park Drive in Berlin, Wisconsin. The shutdown will result in the loss of 24 jobs—20 hourly workers and 4 salaried positions—beginning on or shortly after August 16, 2025.
The company disclosed the closure in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter filed with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. According to the notice, the decision stems from unforeseen circumstances and a strategic move to consolidate operations.
While layoffs are expected to begin following the close of business on August 16, some employees may remain on for a limited time as operations wind down. The affected workers are not represented by a union, and bumping rights do not apply.
This marks the fourth layoff notice reported in Wisconsin so far in June 2025, according to DWD records—raising concerns about the ongoing stability of the state’s manufacturing workforce.
